Privacy details
Counts, never content.
Input Stats is an activity counter, not a keylogger. The event tap adds numbers to local buckets and immediately discards the input event.
What syncs
What is never collected
- Typed characters or key codes
- Window titles, document names, or file paths
- URLs, browser tabs, or clipboard contents
- Screenshots, raw input events, or process arguments
Private and population data
Exact application statistics stay attached to your private account. Population charts contain coarse app categories and numeric totals only, and remain hidden until at least 20 accounts contributed to a period.
Public profiles
A public profile is off by default. If you turn it on, anyone with the link sees your display name, tagline, combined daily key and click totals, streak, and record day. Device names, unusual-activity markers, and bundle IDs are never shown. You can optionally show your top five apps as friendly names with percentages, and separately opt into the weekly leaderboard. Switching the profile off hides it and removes it from the leaderboard immediately.
A public profile is a page meant to be found, so it is listed in the sitemap and search engines are allowed to index it. If you would rather the page stayed reachable only by its link, turn off Let search engines index my profile in profile settings: the page is then served with noindex and dropped from the sitemap. You can also add your own website and social links to the page. They are shown to visitors and published as sameAs data; they become followed links once your account has a real history behind it, and stay nofollow until then.
Retention and control
Minute detail is retained for 30 days. Daily private totals remain until you delete them or your account. Repair restore points expire after 30 days. The dashboard lets you export, repair, restore, or delete your data, revoke individual Macs, and permanently delete the account.
